How to Create a Proxy Server in Python Using Proxy.py

In the world of web development, there are two types of developers: those who get blocked when web scraping, and those who use proxy servers to hide their IP and easily extract the data they want. If you belong to the latter group, you’re making it harder for websites or services to track your online activity. Proxy servers allow you to bypass regional restrictions, access otherwise unavailable content, and even filter and inspect… Continue

The Power of Artificial Intelligence for C-UAS

In recent years, drones have become more and more common. It has become common knowledge that said technology benefits military offense and defence in many ways, such as hiding explosive devices, scouting no man’s lands, carrying out surveillance, and combating electronic warfare. Today, drones have many other functions outside of the military settings – monitoring climate change,  conducting search operations, and distributing medical supplies, to name a few.

The rising popularity of UAS technology calls for a major improvement in counterdrone protection. To combat the increasing number of illegal activities using drone technology, DroneShield releases various C-UAS products like C-UAS prisons, C-UAS airports, and counterdrone stadiums. The latter plays a significant role in realising antidrone airports, mitigating UAS-related incidents caused by unregulated uses of said technology.

When the number of drones circulating the market isn’t as many as today, counterdrone defence measures can be carried out by one operator. The person operating the counterdrone technology can assess the sensor data and choose the appropriate response in time to prevent incoming UAS from accomplishing their mission.

But what if the threat comprises a large number of drones? Drone swarms may come to reality, and they will require faster real-time analysis on the situation and response to the threat to mitigate any possible damages – something that one C-UAS operator simply cannot do simultaneously.

In response to this threat, DroneShield uses the power of artificial intelligence (AI) for counterdrone protection. This decision results in many benefits, allowing us to answer the challenges of antidrone warfare.

First and foremost, our C-UAS AI is capable of identifying drones’ communication channels and protocols, including models that adopt frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) technology. The data gathered allows C-UAS to distinguish real from false detections in environments with numerous radio-frequency sources.

Secondly, since AI is hardware-agnostic, its application in our C-UAS gives our drones the flexibility to work with hardware extensions. What’s more, C-UAS AI evolves its algorithm over time and pattern-match any potential threats for appropriate response strategies. With AI being built into the system instead of connected to the cloud, there is zero risk of network disruption.

All these processes are done much faster with the application of AI, cutting down the time needed to respond to numerous threats simultaneously. Furthermore, C-UAS AI significantly reduces, if not eliminates, human errors, poor decisions, and inefficiency.

Illegal drone use is a threat that never stops evolving. Without a proper countermeasure, it can cause lives. DroneShield aims to prevent this from happening in the future by eliminating the vulnerabilities of a counterdrone. The use of AI is one of those big steps we take to keep up with the growing issues surrounding drone technology.
