Every winter, I feel like it has gotten colder than the year before. Possibly it is due to the fact that every year, I grow older and my metabolic mattress warmer queen process slows down. This year, I decided to find out how to remain warm in bed. My blankets are not any warmer and I didn't want to alter blankets so I decided to attempt other ways. Here is what I attempted and what appeared to work for me.
The only thing was that I didn't get to feel the softness of my down blanket against my body - something that I actually delight in. I didn't feel as appealing going to bed, something that I like to feel as well, specifically with my hubby sleeping next to me. Next, I tried wearing these silk pajamas.
Heated blanket: Although I like my blankets, I decided to include a heated blanket beneath them just for my body. The heated blanket worked too well. I was almost too hot and my hubby and I were afraid of starting a fire in the middle of the night because the blanket needed to be plugged in. While this option was good, I chose I would simply utilize it for times when I am sitting on the couch and reading and require some additional heat. I'm keeping the blanket, but am not going to use it to go to sleep.
Of course, you don't have to purchase these socks and you can constantly just wear any set of cotton socks to bed, however these are made particularly to keep your feet warm all night. I actually tried wearing these with my shorts and t-shirt and found that it made a big distinction in how warm I felt. Of course wearing socks to bed felt a little foreign to me at initially, but eventually I got used to it.
