THIS JORDAN 31 FROM MACHE CUSTOMS IS INSPIRED BY 2005’S UNDFTD X AJ4

Back in 2009, Nike collaborated with Nintendo, a world-renowned video-gaming and console brand. This was not a first from Nike. The sportswear giant had on several occasions in the past collaborated with custom designers – both individuals and fully established organizations – in order to release colorways and models that were a combination of Nike’s designing innovativeness, and the custom artwork and concepts of the custom artists and designers. However, individual customizers like Mache Customs had gained popularity and rose to fame in recent years. Mache Customs has surfaced once again and using the Air Jordan 31 as the base, he has crafted a new custom iteration.

The Nike Blazer “Wii” & RT1 had been one of the most creative-looking custom designs that sneakerheads found in the footwear collection anywhere. The upper featured a construction of patent leather and smooth leather. The color theme for the shoe provided a mix of colors consisting of white and orange colors.

The upper had a perforated toe-box for adequate ventilation. The Nike swoosh was prominently visible on the sides, while the laces were colored in white – matching the tongue’s accents. There were touches of orange on the tongue while the inner lining is white. The midsole featured a white color with a stitched line running around its length. While the outer sole was colored in blue gum to match the accents on the upper and midsole.

Nike did not seem to run out of ideas and innovative designs for its releases. Even in a series that had seen so many releases within its line-up, Nike had managed to come up with a unique design or colorway with each new release. Even Jordan Brand welcomes collaborations, such as the UNDFTD x Air Jordan 4 from 2005, which has apparently inspired this latest Mache Customs creation. Thus, this custom Air Jordan 31 pair is dressed up predominantly in Green, with contrasting Black and Orange featured throughout. Additionally, UNDFTD branding can also be spotted on the heels.
