Using Digital Intelligence (AI-BI) to drive Enterprise performance.

For years, the objective of integrating IT and operations is to gain insights, make better decisions, and manage strategic performance. However, there is a growing understanding that the value being lost by not actively digitizing operations.

With the widespread use of digital enablers and the shift to cloud-based services, intelligent solutions that combine enterprise asset management (EAM) and asset performance management (APM) are in high demand.

The IT/operations disconnect

Until recently, asset-intensive industries such as energy and life sciences, as well as natural resources and manufacturing, have not handled operations with the same level of dedication to digital as they have given to enterprise operations. In fact, most manufacturing and resource companies lack a strategy for transforming their operations.

This is perhaps unsurprising. The typical IT staff, which has tended to focus on enterprise activities such as HR and finance, faces a difficult task in digitising operations.

The long-standing divide between enterprise IT and operations has resulted in a plethora of operational silos and stand-alone solutions. These scarcely 'speak' to one another, much less connect with enterprise systems properly.

Consistent difficulties

However, the digital transformation of operations is now receiving a lot more attention. With the advent of cloud technologies, a demand to standardise and integrate has arisen. To assist drive change goals, bringing IT and operations together is critical.

They must work together on a value-based strategy that identifies short-, medium-, and long-term objectives that will enable a smooth transition to a new world of digital operations while also addressing some long-standing issues.

Asset Management with Intelligence

Fortune Infosys is collaborating to help organisations achieve higher levels of operational control, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Intelligent Asset Management combines asset performance management, maintenance, and operations with a network of asset intelligence from many systems, It offers a ‘single pane of glass’ through which to view the operational and asset lifecycle.

Moving past the technology

There are many aspects of digital operations that must be addressed in addition to technology. Data must be provided in sufficient amounts and of sufficient quality. It's also crucial to get the correct information into workers' hands so that they can use data and insights. Most importantly, significant behavioural change and upskilling are required to ensure that the benefits of new solutions are fully realised.

We're developing the content, accelerators, and methodology for intelligent asset management solutions that will help firms take advantage of a new operational paradigm—and speed their transformation into the digital era.
