Background

Cryogenic vessels that are insulated by the static vacuum that is used for the storage of cryogenic fluids are different. Insulation

Special insulation becomes necessary due to the exceptionally low temperatures. This is made of a wound aluminium foil or fibre, or expanded powder that is present in the space between the equipment and the jacket, along with the vacuum.
