TOKYO: Japan is set to approve its first arms export following relaxation of its self-imposed ban [url=http://www.cheapjerseyspistons.com/tobias-harris-jersey/]Cheap Tobias Harris Jersey[/url] , as the nation aims to boost its global military and economic presence, a report said Sunday.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries plans to export a high-performance sensor to the United States, which will use it in the Patriot Advanced Capability-2 (PAC-2) missile defence system to be exported to Qatar, the Nikkei business daily said without citing sources.

The government under Prime Minister Shinzo Abe eased the rules to allow exports of military products in a move aimed at letting Japan join international joint programmes to develop weapons and to grow its defence industry.

Japan has concluded that the planned US transfer of the missile to Qatar was unlikely to escalate any conflicts, the Nikkei said.

Mitsubishi Heavy produces the PAC-2 sensor for Japan's Self Defence Forces under licence from Raytheon [url=http://www.cheapjerseyspistons.com/avery-bradley-jersey/]Cheap Avery Bradley Jersey[/url] , the Nikkei said.

The US company however is scaling back production of PAC-2 components, as it is focusing on the next-generation PAC-3 missile interceptor system, it said.

For complete beginners who would like to try out freestyle snowboarding but haven?t tried the sport before, the centre offers a complete day of ski or snowboard instruction. This full seven hour day includes lunch and dinner and takes new snowboarders from the absolute basics through to level one technique.

For high jumpers who want to try out risky manoeuvres the centre has also arranged for certain Freestyle Fridays to include the Airbag ? a huge inflatable bag to cushion landings. The Airbag will feature once every month with dates published on The Snow Centre website for months up to February 2010. There is a small additional charge for use of the airbag.

The Friday evening freestyle session has been running for a few months now and is already proving very popular. The centre advises anyone wishing to attend to call and reserve a slot beforehand if possible. Qualified Snow Centre staff are on hand to offer advice, tips and keep things safe, but boarders and skiers need to have reached level 5 ability to be allowed into the session.
