This is one of my favorite games for the Vive.

Even though the zombies are cardboard cutouts, it's still bone-chilling when they surprise you and are in your face.

Can't get enough of the skills test. I think I played that part alone for over hour so far.

The additions of the extra throwable items like meat and gas cans are so awesome.

Overall a very enjoyable experience!. this is a pretty neat little game. very fun and can be challenging as you progress. even my wife enjoys playing it.

great job to the dev team behind it. This is a great HTC Vive experience. The game is complete with regular updates. The developers are very active, responding to the discussion board when people have problems. It\u2019s a great game to play, and a go-to when showing off the Vive as it\u2019s easy to pick up and doesn\u2019t scare people (you don\u2019t have to worry about people slamming the ceiling with your controller). It also doesn\u2019t take a lot of space for room scale, so if you\u2019re like me and have a small play area, this game is perfect. I feel it\u2019s well worth the $20 asking price, especially when comparing to other VR games right now asking more for less.. This is the first time I ever wrote a review for any game on Steam (even with 700+ in my library).

I've so far had the vive for a week and have around 70 games\/demoes so far.

This is by far one of my top 5 games for VR. If you want a great shooter, this is the one to get - the feel of the shooting rivals H3VR, even though it is cartoon zombies - the graphics, especially when it comes to the iron sights is crystal clear which makes it a lot more realistic to aim properly than in most other VR shooters I've tried so far. I've been in the military for over 20 years now, so I have some experience firing guns, and something about the mechanics in this game makes it feel right.

Do NOT let the cartoony style fool you - this is a must buy for your Vive - it is worth every penny!

Edit: If I could ask for one single addition it would be to allow for manual reload of weapons using your offhand vive controller the same way it is done in H3VR. That would make it all but perfect.. I can't recommend this game enough. Sure it's cartoony and looks cheesey but the game play by far is the most robust action packed shooting game on the vive in my opinion. There are so many features and the devs are pretty active in keeping this updated. The only thing I would like to see is more levels and maybe gun customizations like laser sites and a rocket launcher. Also maybe the ability to switch guns during gameplay. But even without those things, this game is really awesome.. Fun and addictive. Many others reviewers have covered the various nuances of the game so I thought I would provide a "Can I play it?" Informational. (Synopsis at end for those looking for the short and sweet, so to speak.)

I am 6'6" and have just enough room in my game den to pretty much stand in the center and spin around with my arms stretched out. That should have been enough space to meet the minum for a 'room' setup, however Vive claims it's not, so I ended up setting it up as as standing-only setup. This game claims you need a 2m x 1.5m play area, but I figured I would give it a shot and if it didn't work I could refund the game.

Turns out 'standing only' works just fine! The table was right next to me and I was able to reach everything with no issues. A wheelchair-bound buddy of mine was also able to play this game just fine, as he could still see over the table while seated.

TL:DR - This game is also playable if you have a 'standing only' Vive setup.. This game with my Vive when I bought it, and it's okay for an introduction to a wave shooter. The cartoony graphics are fine for what they are, but the repetitive nature wasn't enough to keep me coming back, and definitely not for the amount of time it would take to unlock the cool guns I actually wanted to use. There is a mode where you can shoot them in the dark, and your guns are flashlights which is pretty neat, but overall it doesn't have much to offer other than being a simple shooter. I don't think I would have paid for it if it had not been bundled with my Vive.
