I have found that every time there is an update on Windows 10, many areas, including webcam, no longer work as I expect. Sometimes I simply need to change my approach, and sometimes I need to call for help. Things disappear without reason, and suddenly reappear the same way! Today the Troubleshooter was very helpful fixing a problem with Wi-Fi. Other times it has been useless! I wish there were an answer to my webcam, but it comes and goes of its own free will!

My webcam is now in perfect condition and it is because of these instructions and an obvious recent update from microsoft!

I have applied these steps numerous times since the August 2016 update and nothing helped. Today, more than 1 year after this quoted post, I tried again and IT WORKED!

Unfortunately, as far as the webcam is concerned, that initial statement seems untrue!

Why should we try out all those suggestions .I bought 2 cameras which said suitable for windows 10 and in the end went back to the dealer.

THIS IS LUDICROUS - I KEPT THIS CAMERA BECAUSE IT WAS THE ONLY MOTION CAMERA AT THAT TIME - "CREATIVE WEBCAM MOTION" - IT IS IN UNUSED CONDITION AND NOW I WISH TO USE IT - YOU PEOPLE HAVE THE FUNDING TO GET EVERY OLDER DEVICE AND DRIVERS ETC CREATIVE DOESN'T CARE - BUT YOU SHOULD BECAUSE YOU SOLD ME ms 10 AND ALL OUR PEOPLE USE IT AROUND THE WORLD - SO WE DESERVE THAT DON'T YOU THINK - AND WHEN PEOPLE ASK FOR IT - YOU SHOULD GET IT ESPECIALLY - FROM cREATIVE - WHO ALSO DOES NOT BOTHER WITH IT ANYTHING THEY AREN'T SELLING YOU - IN FACT THEY TRIED TO UPSELL ME TO A LOUSY CAMERA THEY MAKE NOW.
