Connor Carrick still remembers the neurological ticks that at times disrupted everyday lifestyle as a child whenever he sensed some level of anxiety.

"I remember as a kid taking those standardized checks and I'd be raring to move because I wanted to do my best; I knew it was important," Carrick said. "It looked like I jumped into a pool."

Carrick, now in his sixth NHL season, has become an advocate in helping those with any sort of mental health issues.
