Established in 2005, the mission of the Valórate Foundation is to support children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder ( ADHD ) and help them fully integrate into the general educational system of Panama. There is no single test to diagnose ADHD, and symptoms must be exhibited for more than six months and in multiple settings for the diagnosis of ADHD to be considered.
ADHD symptoms usually appear around age 12. These symptoms include the following: constant movement, restlessness, frequent careless mistakes, constant loss of items, plus ease of distraction, slow listening, and difficulty completing tasks.
