What is a Driver?
A driver is a software that can connect hardware to a computer. Drivers are used by the operating system to communicate with the hardware of that driver. Hardware connected to your computer is often said to be special because Windows cannot connect directly without a driver, for example, a scanner or printer. Drivers act as translators between the operating system and the hardware used on the computer.

Is it important to update drivers?
You could say that updating the driver is necessary, but there are times when it is not necessary. By default Windows already includes important drivers that are connected to your computer. For example, such as mouse, keyboard, monitor drivers, etc. Unfortunately there are some drivers in Windows that don't support advanced features when you are using new hardware. Therefore, you have to download or install the driver itself, which of course must match the hardware you are using. Usually when you buy hardware, the driver is included in the form of a CD or DVD.

Sometimes hardware companies also release new versions of drivers and fix existing bugs, increase performance, increase computer stability, or add some new features. When this driver has been released and recommended for you, it's time for you to update your driver.

Then how come the drivers don't need to be updated? When you find a driver installation version that is not stable or is still in the negligent or beta process. Or the hardware company for the driver you want to update hasn't made any recommendations for updates.
