WHICH TARTAN CAN I WEAR?
We are often asked "My name is...... , which tartan am I allowed to wear?" The answer to that question is simple: You can wear any tartan you like. You may occasionally come across someone with the opinion that you must only wear tartans associated with your family name. We respectfully disagree with that view.

It has also been said that if you are indeed wearing the colours of another clan, that clan would then view that as a sign of admiration & respect. Whether that was the case or not, we can't be certain.

If you are still wary about wearing another clans colours, we do supply universal tartans that are not associated with any clans. Pride of Scotland, Black Watch, Royal/Black Stewart etc. Send us a message and we will let you know what universal tartans we currently have available.

Our economy kilt is made from 13 oz, 100% acrylic. It is a woven material so it is very light, breathable and easy to care for.

(just wash it cold and hang it up to dry)

Take a measurement at your belly button for proper fit. These are NOT your pants size! For those of us with a belly, basically the biggest dimension, I know, ugh. Get over it and buy the kilt that fits you comfortably and tear the tag out lol.

This style of kilt has two inches of adjustment larger than the size shown. (a 34 fits 34-36). Right on the line? Think about if your weight is going up or down. If you still are at the end of the range you can order a custom size at no additional cost.

All stock kiltsshop are 24" long .

When you receive your kilt you will see there are two lines of stitching at the middle and bottom that holds the pleats in place for shipping. Just snip and pull them out before wearing.
