Find the Basic Eligibility for Canada Immigrant Visa?

Canada’s immigration visa requires you to score 67 points to be eligible to immigrate to Canada as a skilled worker. It involves evaluating you on six factors that include age, experience, language skills, adaptability, education, and adaptability in Canada. Let us look at each of these factors individually.

1. Age (12 points maximum)

Here, you earn a maximum of 12 points based on your age. The lesser the age (above 18, though), the higher you score. Accordingly, if you are into the age category of 18-35, you score the highest on this parameter. Applicants above 35 score a bit lesser. The age limit to immigrate to Canada as a skilled worker is 45

2. Work Experience (15 points maximum)

Work experience forms another critical evaluation factor to determine your eligibility. In this criterion, you earn points for the number of years of full-time paid work experience and a minimum of 30 hours weekly. However, you can still score if you have an equivalent amount of part-time work experience to your credit.

3. Education (25 points maximum)

If you possess an overseas educational qualification, you must have an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from an authorized organization. The report determines whether the overseas degree you hold is on par with the Canadian qualification. You earn a maximum of 25 points for this criterion.

4. Arranged Employment in Canada (10 points maximum)

You can earn immigration points for a minimum 1-year of employment offer from a Canadian employer. You must have received this offer before you submit the application to arrive in Canada as a Federal Skilled Worker.

5. Adaptability (10 points maximum)

Adaptability points are earned based on your work, study, and relatives in Canada. You can earn additional points if you have your common-law partner or spouse.

6. Language Skills (28 points maximum)

The languages you know play a vital role in augmenting your score to qualify to immigrate to Canada. To qualify, you must have a certain level of reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in English and French. You earn a maximum of 28 points under these criteria.
