How to Diagnose Horizontal Gasoline Engin?

Diagnosis methods and steps of horizontal gasoline engine:

1. After starting the starting gear, neither the starter nor the engine can rotate. Check according to the failure of the startup system. First, check the storage space of the battery and the connections and contacts of the electrodes; if the battery is normal, check the starting circuit, fuse, and ignition switch;

2. Press the throttle to the medium open position, and then turn on the starter. If the engine can start at this time, it means that the fault is the idle speed control valve and its circuit fault or the intake pipe leakage. If the throttle cannot be activated when the accelerator is pressed to the middle open position, the next step should be checked.

3. Perform a visual inspection. Check whether the intake pipe is leaking; check whether the hose and its connection are intact; check whether the crankcase ventilation hose is leaking or cracked

4. Check for high-voltage sparks. If the high-voltage spark is abnormal, please check the high-voltage wire, ignition coil, distributor, and electronic igniter;

5. Check whether the ignition sequence is correct;

6. Check the oil supply of the oil supply system. After confirming that there is damage in the fuel tank, check the fuel supply pressure in the fuel pipe;

7. Check the ignition timing and sequence of each cylinder;

8. Check the working status of the fuel pump switch installed on the airflow meter;

9. Check the working condition of the spark plug of each cylinder;

10. Check the ignition timing. If the ignition timing is not correct, please further check the ignition timing control system.
