Foreign Medical Graduate Examination is one of the well-known exams which is conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE). It is the exam conducted for the Indian students who are studying MBBS Abroad and wants to practice in India after completion of their MBBS degree. Students must qualify FMGE Exam after qualifying for the exam and the student has been certified by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The exam was first started on 15th March 2002 for the Indian citizen who is studying medical studies Abroad.

The exam is conducted twice a year in the session of June and December. Students can appear in the exam as many times as they want there is no age limit and no limit of attempts. But for the students who completed their MBBS degree from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, mbbs in UK, USA come in the exempted category as they don’t need to appear for the FMGE exam for practice. Students can directly get the certification without appearing in the exam and they can easily practice in India.

Exam Pattern Of FMGE Exam
FMGE Exam has a pattern in which the exam has been held. The exam is conducted through the online procedure. The exam is conducted in the English language only. It has a total of 300 multiple choice questions and the time given is 300 minutes to solve the questions. The exam is divided into two parts and each part has 150 questions and to be solved in 150 minutes of duration. In the FMGE exam, students get +1 for each right answer and there is no negative marking so students attempt all the questions in the exam.

To appear in the FMGE Exam students need to qualify the criteria which are mentioned by the community and have been discussed below:
• The appearing candidate must be an Indian citizen.
• The candidate must have a valid MBBS degree from MCI/ NMC recognized institute.

It is mandatory for students to qualify the criteria if he/ she is liable then they can not appear in the exam. Students can register themselves through the National Board of Examination and they can appear directly in the FMGE exam. The students need to prepare for the exam earlier as it is one of the toughest exams.
