After purchasing your leather jacket it is recommended to lightly spray it with a leather repellent/protectorant. This will help to waterproof your leather. If you are trapped in the rain, here is what you can do.

Remove as much water as you can, as you can and then dry. Dry thoroughly. Do not put your leather jacket close to any source of heat.
After your leather is dry, you can determine if it is necessary to clean your leather spot. It is possible to do this by putting just a tiny amount of mild soap, such as saddle soap, on a damp cloth , and create a lather. Don't soak your leather. Use a damp, clean cloth to remove the leather. Polish the leather using dry towel.

If you find mud on your motorcycle's jacket, scrape it off as much as you can and let it dry. After the remaining mud has dried, you can rub it off using a natural, medium stiff brush, and follow the instructions for cleaning as mentioned above. In the event that your jacket is smudge-prone, you can simply brush it off with the size of a shoe brush, or a mohair brush, and then wipe it down the leather.
