Ultraviolet (UV) lamps have the highest efficiency in producing UV radiation. These lamps are used to sterilize or deactivate the DNA and RNA of bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens, thereby limiting their growth.
Because of the various properties they possess, ultraviolet lamps are gaining popularity among a large portion of the world's population. The environmental friendliness of the products is one of the key factors driving the growth of ultraviolet (UV) lamps. Aside from that, ultraviolet lamps are in high demand due to a variety of factors such as their small size, long life, ease of disposal, and ability to operate at multiple wavelengths with minimal power consumption.
Ballasts are used to power UV lamps. The UV curing lamps' electrical insulation is provided by a ceramic end cap. Some UV curing lamps have an aluminium polished reflector, which improves the efficiency of the UV curing lamp. UV curing systems are more efficient than thermal coating methods and are preferred. Until UV LEDs replace mercury-curing lamps, the digital print industry will be dominated by them. Manufacturing time has been reduced as a result of technological advancements. When compared to traditional lamps, UV LED curing lamps to take less time to dry adhesives, inks, and coatings.
