The forged steel valve is a pipeline flow system control element used by Forged steel valve manufacturers in India to sell and distribute the fluid flowing through the pipeline. During operation, a 90-degree rotation with a small torque is enough to close the valve tightly. Forged steel valves are made of metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel or copper, making them durable and strong.
General Instructions for Forged Steel Valve
If the valve is used within the rated range, you can maximize its service life following the design parameters.
Refer to the general valve assembly drawing to understand the internal structure.
No substance capable of solidifying, polymerizing or crystallizing should remain in the spherical bore, as this can adversely affect efficiency and reduce valve life.
Forged steel valve actuating mechanisms
A quarter-turn of the flanged end valve is achieved by a lever/hydraulic/gear/pneumatic or electric actuator.
Reducer
Reducers on the valves facilitate operation. The process is usually clockwise to open and close the valve counterclockwise. The valve position can be displayed using the position indicator on the side of the gear plate.
Electric motor
It will perform several turns and is installed on the reducer or directly on the valve. The actuator turns the gear set, which in favour will turn the shaft. The electrically operated valves by stainless steel valve manufacturers in india are equipped with an actuating system for manual valve control. Engine configurations are done at the factory, and location adjustment or reset is generally not recommended.
Pneumatic / hydraulic actuator
Pneumatic/hydraulic actuators are usually mounted directly to the valve without a gear set. It is recommended that stainless steel gate valves manufacturers carefully follow the instructions in the operator's manual.
Handling and storage
Behaviour
During transportation, do not pull the valve on the ground. Maintain a minimum height from the ground when moving the valve.
Do not place the valve around the valve opening for charging.
You must not hang the winch cable around the actuator/reducer to avoid any load acting on it. When handling the valve, ensure that there is no external load acting on the actuator/reducer.
Do not handle the valves while the handwheel is attached to the reducer. Remove the flywheel before handling and moving the valve.
Storage room
The valves should be kept in a protected environment free from dust and moisture, and the area should be well ventilated.
Be sure to put the terminal guards in place until the valve is installed, such as dry contaminants such as dust, sand, splinters, etc. They can scratch metal bearing surfaces and soft parts, causing leaks during maintenance.
The valve of stainless steel ball valve manufacturers in india must also be kept above the dew point temperature in the storage location to prevent water droplets from accumulating on the shutter.
It is strictly forbidden to keep the valve on the ground directly. The valve is placed on a wooden board at a minimum height from the ground.
Be careful not to damage the extending portion of the transformer or reducer/actuator during storage.
Tar, unsupported grease or any other substance is not allowed inside the valve as it may affect valve performance.
A non-toxic "manganese phosphate" coating is used for carbon steel valves. This slows down rust formation during storage.
With their natural finish, stainless steel valves may not require additional protection when installed.
