Gustavo Petro won the Historic Pact with the help of Lights and Shadows

On Sunday Gustavo Petro , the candidate for Gustavo Petro, confirmed the favoritism polls have been showing for a number of weeks.

(Positions within the Historic Pact for Pensions & Inflation)

Former Senator of the Republic and ex-mayor in Bogota has won the victory with the Historic Pact coalition. Officially the former mayor is now an aspirant to the presidency which he hopes to win three times.

The overwhelming majority during the consultation makes to him being the most representative persona of the Colombian left and a firm candidate to be president despite his controversial plans and opinions on various fronts, not least the economic one.

https://www.grupoenergiadebogota.com/content/download/5967/88919/fi... has stated that he plans to change the pension system via the creation of a public administrator for pension funds. https://www.semana.com/semana-tv/vicky-en-semana/articulo/me-preocu... is also planning to create a system which is "mixed-and-complementary" with private funds.

According https://www.elheraldo.co/gustavo-petro , there's no system of pensions in Colombia. But banks make profits. So many have claimed that Petro will eliminate any chance of being elected President. Petro recently said that while he wouldn't eliminate them but he would pursue reforms regarding pensions in order to guarantee an age of retirement for Colombians. He stated, however, that it wasn't necessary to increase the retirement age.

(Who comprise the list of Historic Pact's possible candidates).

Another controversial issue is that he's repeatedly said that he will stop oil extraction as soon as he assumes office. This has caused anxiety among investors and also among the market as a whole.

Experts believe that Petro's plan of end to exploration for oil would cost Colombia the equivalent of $4.3 billion in losses.

I also suggest to establish an anti oil front in the region and around the world. http://www.secretariasenado.gov.co/senadores/53-senadores-2018-2022... will help move the economy away from fossil fuels. To this, I invite Gabriel Boric (the new Chilean president) and LuizInacio Lula da Silva (the Brazilian LuizInacio Lula da Silva), among others.

Petro claimed that he had talked to Pedro Sanchez, Spain's Prime Minister, about his proposal.

His attitude on health issues is also controversial since he has argued on ending EPS and replacing it with a preventive model that "guarantees the rights of people and not the profit of bankers".

He also questioned the autonomy of Banco de la Republica, and declared that he will also reform the institution should he being elected President.

Petro claims that the Bank's Board of Directors is part of a political party called the Democratic Center. Therefore, Petro claims, "What we want" is a true independent Bank of the Republic (...). The candidate made this in the middle of an argument.

Invamer says Petro is the president's choice for in voting intentions.

It was controversial that he proposed issuing cash to fund government spending.

Petro's ideas focus on a sustainable economy which doesn't rely on fossil fuels.

gustavo petro is also mentioned that he is likely to introduce a tax reform plan which would end exemptions, as well as change the concept and definition of minimum wage into a real income-based wage.
