How to choose the right image for a small business website

When visiting a small business website, people tend to color and picture first. These factors, rather than the quantity or quality of the text provided, will influence their primary first impression. The harmonious combination of images, colors, and content arrangement is always superior to a website that seems jumbled, randomly assembled, or quickly assembled. See how to unblur a picture

Here are tips for choosing images that represent your level of professionalism and sense of personal brand:

Quality issues. Grainy and poorly reproduced photos on a small business website can kill you in no time. Select only high definition images and make sure they are small in size. Do not make the image larger than it should be to avoid distortion.

Strive for originality. Consumers understand photos, meaning they know them when they see them. This isn't to say that stock photos can't be used on your website, just that relying on the most obvious images (such as a smiling "customer" holding a product in a box) can be exhausting. tired and humble - and has no emotional impact on the viewer. Finding the right (and unexpected) photo can cost a little more, but it's always more effective. Better yet, hire a professional photographer and create unique images that are perfect for your product or service.

Causes an emotional response. Emotions often play a role in the buying process. Images that cause positive reactions direct viewers to a purchase decision. Just think of a photo of someone who looks satisfied with using a product or service. This reinforces the prospect's desire to also be positive about their purchase choice.

Represent people similar to your target audience. Obviously, a website aimed at teen skateboarding enthusiasts should avoid using images of infants or the elderly. On the other hand, a planned community site works best with photos of happy, active retirees. People want to see themselves reflected in the happy, smiling faces they meet online.

Provide a true picture of your team. The more visitors to your website feel that they "know" your business, the more willing they will be to buy your product or service. One way to set your business apart from the competition is to showcase professional photos of your employees "behind the scenes" or attend an event that benefits the public. Also, don't forget to add friendly pictures of your top managers to the About page.

Choose images that enhance your brand. Every business has its own look, its own brand. The image selected for the website must be consistent with this brand. For example, an elite spa should represent guests who enjoy aspects of the spa with images that convey the serenity and benefits of physical rejuvenation.
