30 Percent of All Searches on the World Wide Web Are to Find People

An inexperienced people searcher will seek out 411.com/ca or equivalent directory and do their search to "find people" there. If the person they are looking for has been at the same address for some time, they will find a name, address and sometimes a phone number - depending on listed or unlisted. If they fail to find the person they are looking for there they will either find a "like" search site or turn to the Search Engines we all use, like Google, Yahoo, Bing and so on. Searches from these sources may return some information but generally they are not quality sources of information for this type of inquiry. This is due to the fact they are only calibrated to do static searches or searches of web pages that have been posted or submitted to the Search Engines for listing. This type of search is referred to as a surface search. dark web links
Due to the ongoing development of technology there is another part of the Internet that many of us are not aware of or use. The information that is being sought; people searches are best found from the Deep Web. What is the Deep Web? According to Wikipedia this is made up of data bases, personal profiles, public records and other like-related information. They also refer to the Deep Web as "Deepnet", "the invisible web", "dark web", or "hidden web". It was estimated back in 2000 that the Deep Web has 500 times more information then the surface web. It is also well know that this is the fastest growing section of the Internet.

This Deep Web is an excellent tool to extract personal information from member directories, person profiles, court records, scientific publications, airplane flights, stock quotations and like data bases. Once where a large body of staff and long passages of time were required to process and input information to records it now can be done in a day or so by one person using software and the Internet. That is the allure for companies to inadvertently post to the Deep Web. Much of the information here is stored in different formats like non-textural file formats using flash and streaming media that are generally inaccessible to compile search engine indexes.

95% of this people information is publicly accessible information - not subject to fees or subscriptions. And yet, there are Companies making a healthy living by charging the unsuspecting or unknowledgeable searchers fees for enabling the searchers to find people. Lately, however there are other Directories providing finding people for free. The information can be based on the name of a person, a phone number, an email address, an old address and so on.
