Links are very important as they lead people to your site. Make sure whatever links you have to your site work and don’t go to an error screen. Check every few months just to make sure. Also, team up with other similar sites to both link to you and link back to them. Having friends is always a good thing.

Speedy wins the race
Short attention spans are a given nowadays so you want to make sure your users aren’t waiting too long for your site to load. 40% of users abandon a website if it takes longer than 3 seconds to load so make sure you don’t have any superfluous plugins and other things slowing you down.
