Cause Analysis of Wear of Vertical Roller Mill Lining

The working principle of the vertical roller mill is to use the cylinder to turn and lift the steel ball to a certain height and then drop it in a parabola to impact the material in the cylinder, so that the material and lining can be fully friction. Therefore, under continuous operation, severe wear of steel balls and liners occurs, which is directly related to the hardness of the material.

In addition, the wear phenomenon of lining plate is also related to the wear resistance of steel balls. During ball sliding, the friction between lining plate and steel ball will increase, and the friction will increase with the hardness of the ball. It will not only cause damage to lining plate, but also very likely cause safety accidents, causing equipment damage and even threatening the life and safety of operators.

At the same time, the wear of the lining plate is directly related to the number of steel balls. The more steel balls in the vertical roller mill, the higher the wear of the lining plate. Therefore, we need to pay attention to the dialectical relationship between the number of steel balls and the operating efficiency. Otherwise, the lining plate will break and the continuity of grinding work will be affected.
