About This Software

Art like never before. The Kremer Museum is an innovative new museum concept that combines the newest VR technology with world-class Old Master paintings. The museum includes pieces by Rembrandt, Aelbert Cuyp, Frans Hals and many more Old Masters from the Dutch Golden Age.

Walk around a fantastic new space, where the balance between traditional museums and VR is represented through a new sort of architecture. Be sure to check out Rembrandt’s “old man with a turban”, walk through it, and see the original back of the panel, to explore the work’s unique stamps of provenance.

Designed by architect Johan van Lierop, Founder of Architales and developed by MOYOSA MEDIA from the Netherlands, the museum features 74 Dutch and Flemish Old Master paintings from the Dutch Golden Age, and is accessible exclusively through VR.

History and future of the power of art combined. Get up close and personal with the paintings, examine brushwork and colors in great detail, and listen to George & Ilone Kremer - the founders of the collection - explain what is special about each painting.

George Kremer: “Our journey as collectors has always been about finding the highest quality artworks and simultaneously finding ways to share them with as many people as possible. My wife Ilone and I believe we can make a greater contribution to the art world by investing in technology rather than in bricks and mortar for our collection.”

“First there were museums, then private museums and now virtual reality privately owned museums are entering the scene” Melanie Gerlis, Financial Times

Calling all art enthousiasts! I was sceptical of this app, because most of what I've seen in the VR space has not wowed me...until now. This fabulously designed museum (yes, it is really a museum) manages to be a great balance between VR and real life. Situated in space (!), I am greeted by the collectors via a clever hologram, and able to choose from 5 different galleries, seemingly curated by school and style. Rembrandt, Carravagism, and other schools and painters I had neverheard about are displayed in a way that, again, strikes a perfect balance between real and VR. The works float a meter from the wall, and it took me some time to realize I could actually go behind them by walking through them, which is quite scary. There are audio commentaries and textual explanations for each of the works, which worked well for me and was just enough. But the thing which go tme most is the quality in which I am able to view these works. Brushwork, paintcracks and lighting are all amazingly well documented. I could go on, but highly recommend peops to try this if you're into old art at all. I hope the developer keeps innovating on this fantastic start. Cecil. One of the best museums I have ever been. It\u2019s fun and the art display is significant. Looks 3D and high res.. The paintings were captured beautifully. The voice narration was also very good. I would certainly support future projects.
My only recommendations would be to enhance the look of the museum, perhaps add some visitors and sounds of people murmuring. These could be options. However, if this was not done in order to maximize the paintings then it was the right decision.. Underwhelmed. You only get access to the pictures after registering with your email and personal data on the Kremer website. Why? The website is not even functional! After that you login with your created password. There is exactly one painting of Rembrand and one painting of Franz Hals to be exhibited. The rest of the paintings are only Dutch painters who are mostly unknown. The short video introduction of Mr. Kremer and his wife promises a discussion of some of the paintings by a curator in person but this feature is missing! There is a written explanation of the painting and a audio button that recounts the written description. Not worth of your time and money. I'd rather recommend the free VR Museum of Fine Art or Boulevard.. An absolutely wonderful educational experience. The paintings are all in high resolution, the curator's explanation brief and to the point and the controls are uncomplicated. I also loved the unusual and sophisticated design of the virtual gallery, which shone with serenity. Loved it and thanks to the developer and George Kremer for this amazing artistic round, which I am sure will be visiting more than once!

New update pushes immersion further by bringing in-person holographic guidance and enriched details:
Users can now enjoy the latest update of our much beloved Kremer Collection VR Museum, which brings new features that enhance the visiting experience with regards to comfort, enjoyment and freedom of exploration.

German and Spanish language tracks are now available, in addition to the existing English and simplified Chinese options, allowing for a higher personalized visiting experience and superior enjoyment.

The paintings of Pieter de Hooch and Rembrandt are now accompanied by the founders’ holograms, who tell the unique stories of the artworks, offering yet another personal touch to the museum.

Additionally, the textures and details of each canvas have been extensively enriched, empowering the user to explore the tiniest of details. Each crack, brushwork and scratch comes as close to reality as it can get.
