CSKA President Andrei Vatutin spoke about the team's Euroleague triumph over Zenit St. Petersburg (77:67).

"We can't speak about typical wins after any Euroleague game." This is a very competitive sport, whether you win by one, twenty, or thirty points. Vatutin TASS commented, "It was an interesting dispute with an unexpected result." "Both CSKA and Zenit's basketball players are injured, so if there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that no one won easily or naturally."

He also stated that the game against St. Petersburg would be even more exciting if all of the injured players were able to return to the pitch.

"We've already played Zenit four times in two months; there are still games to play; this is a multifaceted fight." The meetings get more exciting with each meeting, and it will be much more exhilarating when the injured, both here and there, return to the ranks. Both clubs have a lot of fire in their belly, as seen by their early-season performances. Of course, winning the first game at home is satisfying. Vatutin remarked, "I'm pleased the team won."

This season, CSKA had two wins and one loss. The Moscow squad will face Crvena Zvezda in the next round. The game is set to take place on October 15th.
