Canada is the fifth largest exporter of food globally.2 As the population increases, Canadian farmers in particular will play a crucial role in providing the world with the food that it requires. They will not only have to supply more food than ever before, they will have to meet it while they manage pests and diseases that can affect their crops, deal with erratic shifts in the weather, and make sure their land is kept healthy and strong for generations of farmers to come.

What exactly is glyphosate?

The benefits of glyphosate are evident. But is it safe to use?

More important than ever is making sure that Canadian farmers have all the tools, technology and assistance they require to meet the growing food needs of a growing populace.

If they follow good agricultural, pest management and food safety practices Farmers will ensure that our food is nutritious and safe. Glyphosate is just one of many tools that they employ to ensure that Canadians and others across the world can access to healthy, affordable food options in the near and in the future.
